1.0 out of 5 stars Whirlpool needs to reconsider bringing back the PUR filters--they are MUCH better than EveryDrop!, November 2, 2015

Wow! The packaging and advertising note that these new EveryDrop filters are the newest and best side-by-side filters out there. But then why do so many people, including my entire family say that the water tastes worse?

UNBOXING:
The EveryDrop 2-pack comes in a non-locking plastic clamshell with cardboard overlay. It's a nice design, easy to open, and professional looking.

REVIEW:
The EveryDrop 2-pack is a great value! 2 filters for approximately $60 that will last the next 12 months--that's $5 a month for unlimited filtered water refills. However, that's where the goodness stops. I'm not sure what happened when Whirlpool upgraded from the PUR filters to the EveryDrop versions. They do NOT make good-tasting water. I've run over 5 gallons (instructions say to flush at least 4 gallons prior to use) through the filter only to take a sip from a tall glass of cold water to note that it tastes like plastic/metal/contaminant. 1.0 out of 5 stars Find a different brand!, August 8, 2015

One month after installing this water filter in my refrigerator and flushing with 4 gallons of water, my water still tastes like soap. Unfiltered water from the tap taste fine, and the refrigerator water using the old brand of filter tasted fine. Whatever change they made when they rebranded from Whirlpool to "Drop" has been for the worse.

1.0 out of 5 stars terrible taste, September 2, 2015
This review is from: Whirlpool EDR3RXD1 Everydrop Refrigerator Water Filter 3, White (Pack of 1) (Tools & Home Improvement)
I just replaced this two month old new Every Drop with the older Pur filter because our water tasted terrible with this one! Metallic/plastic taste. I stopped my subscription with Every Drop and will order Pur from Amazon!
